Chances are, you will never sit on a jury hearing the prosecution of a corporation for a crime.  So here is a collection of transcripts of addresses given to juries in corporate crime trials, to give you some insight into what gets said, and how cases are argued.

These transcripts aren’t easy to locate (in Australia at least, transcript is very difficult – and costly – to obtain if you’re not a party) – if you know of any transcripts in the public domain that I have missed, please let me know so I can add them in.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co – USA – San Bruno Gas Explosion

Prosecution opening address by Hallie Hoffman, 17 June 2016

Defence opening address by Steven Bauer, 17 June 2016.

It’s easy to snarl at a logo. … It’s much harder to look a person in the eye and say, ‘You are a criminal.’… And you notice the government didn’t do that.

Some insight into closing addresses is available here.
